This information page (and others connected to it) were once used in a slightly bigger site. The purpose of all this information was to establish the site's search engine ranking and now, all that is left is the information ...maintained as a handy source for the 500,000+ visitors it gets every year. Some pages are so informative that they rank top ranking throughout the English-speaking Internet. The information starts in the tiny mountain community of Barx and La Drova (province of Valencia) spreads out and then wanders all over the place. A token attempt at structure has been made!

This information page connects with a number of others and it is intended to give you a sort of overview that ranks higher on search engines than some sites put up by the Spanish Tourist Office ...there are email links to many of the local tourist offices accessible from a link on this page

About half a mile up the road is the little village of Barx, This has two small supermarkets and about half a dozen bars (see the link (left) for views).

There are supermarkets in Gandia (main town at the bottom of the mountain road) and quite a nice street market in the neighbouring town of Oliva (every Friday--except fiestas). This site carries a fairly exhaustive list of open-air markets in the General Information Pages..

Dining out in style on a Sunday afternoon is best done at Restaurante Viva España--this has an excellent Flamenco floor show, caters well for children and takes email bookings.

The historic market town of Gandia is ringed by rustic villages, many of these in the mountains behind the town. The award-winning, unblemished, white sandy beaches and clear blue Mediterranean water also offers a marina and nautical club. For golf enthusiasts there is an excellent 18-hole course in the nearby town of Oliva. Spain in July and August takes on an extra life and vitality as every village holds at least one fiesta.
