More Views

If you can drag yourself away from the wide variety of waterfront bars (something I always have difficulty with), then there are other things to see in Moraira ...like the odd trio of statues (pictured top left)

This palm-tree-lined Paseo, (left) with its splashing fountains and wooden benches, leads down to the fortress on the sea front. Walk away from the coast, cross a main road and there is a huge car park that fills with a weekly market (below) every Friday. There is another (smaller) weekly market at nearby Teulada every Wednesday.

If, like me, you are only too familiar with the boundless enthusiasm that women have for shopping, then you will be depressed to learn that there are many places where women can look at things and sometimes even buy them. Not every cloud has a silver lining but the street pictured above is refreshingly close to all those waterfront bars I mentioned earlier!!
