The view in the title bar (top left) is your first view you see as you drive into the place from the steep hills that surround the place. There is no coast road to Jávea.

The beaches are clean and the sea is really as blue as pictured here. The beach sand is an odd grey colour ...but otherwise okay!

Moraira's seafront is divided in half by a sort of fortress (below) perched atop a raised area between the two. The other end of the esplanade is given over to a marina!

As this picture (left) suggests , there are a number of people in the area who are not just good at playing Monopoly

Of course, rope-soled sandals, a heaving deck, salt spray in your face and questionable relationships with parrots, may not be your idea of having a good time. In which case, you should repair to the plethora of waterfront hostelries that lie astern (...I mean behind) the marina. As a lad, I once studied Robert Newton's celebrated portrayal of Long John Silver ...and can still manage an passable imitation today (when matters nautical arise "Har-harr, Jim lad" and so forth).
