BUT IS IT ART?

And I thought Gateshead's Angel of the North was a dire bit of sculptural scrimshaw? Witness this rusting hulk, placed amid the trees and benches of a sort of park at the back on Gandía's railway station!

The extra colour at the bottom of this structure was added by local graffiti artists!

To a certain extent, one is obliged to excuse the so-called 'artist' involved. The poor thing is probably so caught up in their own conceptual world that it would be simplicity itself to construct an argument that makes me appear a fool because I don't happen to like this sort of art.

On the other hand, you do have to wonder at the city councillors who endorsed placing such an awful thing in a public space!
