Oliva Nova Golf Club

The Oliva Nova golf course was designed by Severiano Ballesteros. The club, has an 18 hole course, 5 hole par 3 course, practice greens, and driving range, of 50 hectares; adjoining the coast. Almost "links" by nature of its location, the par 72 course measures 6,270 metres in length from the back markers. It has been voted as Seve's best design and water enters into play on 15 out of the 18 holes. The course has short, medium and long holes as well as right and left hand dog leg fairways. The course is said to be a true but fair test for all golfers. Oliva Nova has hosted Spanish National Championships on four occasions and attracts many prestigious golfing events. The course record is currently held by Miguel Angel Jiminez when he completed 18 holes in January 1999 with 63 strokes (9 under par).
