One of the
more obscure
bits of Fulwell

Another chewing-gum and string production

I suppose this a sort of object in making something I regard as commonplace, into something you might find interesting. I walked from my hair appointment, through that side streets of the area and, on my way there I had to cross a pedestrian bridge. My hairdresser (Alan) calls it the 'Green Bridge' and it is so tucked away amongst the little side streets that it would not surprise me to learn that there are some folk who have lived in Fulwell all their lives and still have no idea that this bridge exists. Just for the fun of it, take a walk over this brige with me (click video camera icon).

The other side of  'Green Bridge' is something else that is green ...this surprising long strip of strip of grass that runs directly parallel with the railway line (at this point. This self-displaying panoramic view was made by stading in one place and gradually turning through 180º. Note that people's houses back on to this  puzzling little oasis that has no ready reason for its existence

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more mysterious, this same green sward continues through the area. The locals are not avoiding building on a leyline ...a disussed railway line use to follow the path of this mysterious area of green and it finished down at the docks! One of those little oddities.
