There I was, minding my own business and shopping for groceries etc., in a Spanish supermarket when my eyes lit upon this sign! I had the digital camera with me and could not resist getting a shot ...passing Spaniards looked on perplexed by my enthusiasm for photographing such a thing! Just in case curiosity completely takes over your life, and you just have to know what a "Farton" is, I should tell you that Fartons are disappointingly inoffensive, long and slender buns (some are iced).

Almost without exception, Spanish confectionary baking looks attractive and tastes of little more than sugar. Fartons are the better end of a rather rum lot!
