Escape to an Easier
(less expensive) Solution

Once upon a time I had to cancel my flight with EasyJet and submit a claim against my holiday isurance A simple phone call or email would've sorted the whole thing out, but EasyJet.co.uk don't make it EasyJust to contact them unless you want to pay as much as £1 per minute. I tried their 0870 6000 000 number and got a recorded announcement about assisted boarding that repeated three or four times and then hung up. So, on proper customer service there is something of a "wheels-up" landing. Through my own researches I have uncovered a not-very-well-publicised customer service number:

0871 244 2366

The telephone 'menu' system on this phone line is pure torture and repeatedly tries to steer the user towards premium rate lines charged at 65p or £1 per minute ...ignore all this and press on. You will be offered a second set of options, resist pressing any keys and wait. Choose '3' for cancellations and option '1' (this will generate the elusive (and welcome ringing tone.
IF you gat an answer then you discuss your travel insurance and airline cancellation.

The company might change this number or entirely abandon their telephone service to customers ...please email me if this happens and I will delete (or amend) this page. Sometimes the Internet allows you to fight back. Nothing I have said isn't demonstrably true and nothing I have done is illegal.
