Cuenca's network of steep, narrow cobbled streets and unexpected plazas have a charm all of their own and this helps you ignore all the smug looking priests!

I suppose I might be accused of neglect, if I don't mention Cuenca's Parador ...impressive and unrealistically expensive in every imaginable way (didn't stop my dear wife and her friend from getting slightly sloshed in the bar). I don't think my wife would've ventured out onto the footbridge that connects the old town with the Parador ...save for her state of inebriation. It really is something straight out of an "Indiana Jones" movie ...complete with a plank that was nearly cracked right through!!

And so to the panoramic photography! Sometimes, one photo just cannot capture view ...happily I have the technology to join several overlapping photos together and then display the results for your delectation.

There is something more than vaguely unnerving about standing on a hotel balcony and looking at an identical one (next to you) and noticing that it doesn't appear to be supported by anything. The antiquity of the building is not reassuring! Here then, are two self-displaying panoramas--click on your choice and then choose 'open' from the dialogue box.
