Life's a beach ...or so they say

For some people a holiday just isn't a holiday without spending some time on the beach. This area is blessed with a number of smaller beaches that are less crowded. A peculiar feature of the area is that it is not possible to drive directly from one beach to the next as there is no connecting coast road.

Bellreguard (left):

This has nice beaches, lots of apartment blocks, some bars/cafes and is the nearest small beach worth going to. There's not a great deal else to do in Bellreguard than lay on the beach ...but if that's all you want!

Miramar (right):

Is next nearest. Along with a nice beach this has a picturesque palm-lined promenade and an interesting looking village just up the road that you have to drive through to get to the beach.

Piles (left):

Stop sniggering because it's pronounced "Peelays". A beach equally as good as all the others, a bit more character and a larger selection of restaurants.

Oliva:
Oliva has a number of bars/cafes, even a shop or two, but is smaller. Daimuz is a beach the has dragged itself up by the bootstraps so fast that it  now merits a page of its own! Xeraco is much like Bellreguard.
